Tid Bit
Lyra Melitzanas is the second member of the L.U.N.A.R. team that serves as the muscles of the group despite her small frame. In addition to enhanced strength, she is able to manipulate electricity and is able to perform or compete over a long period of time.

Before she was ever a member of L.U.N.A.R., Lyra has a three hit singles of her own when she was a solo artist.

Background
Lyra Melitzanas was born to Athan and Kirsten on the fifth of December in twenty-thirty, and grew up into a life of music but since her father was a member of the Royal Guard, the majority of her upbringing made her a military brat since their family was being constantly moved. Despite the move, Kirsten had managed to keep true to her musical background and sang – not just for the love of it, but as a living as well since her husband was always gone. Once she was at the age where adults were able to understand her words and phrases, Lyra’s mother often told her heroic stories about her father – literally making him a hero in Lyra’s eyes. So whenever he had returned home, Lyra was that little girl in pigtails that always greeted him.

Like most little girls, Lyra was active and to her mother’s joy, embraced her love for melodies. What her mother never suspected, however, was the talent her little girl was blessed with. Even though she learned to sing and play instruments, it seemed that such things came naturally to Lyra. So before she knew it and entering her adolescent years, Lyra had accompanied her mother to her jobs and sang while her mom went on breaks; but most often did duets. The real passion that Lyra had developed was playing the drums, however much to her mother’s chagrin that always envisioned her daughter to be a pianist or a vocalist.

One day, when Lyra was eleven and returning home from private school Lyra was involved in a near fatal accident that would have left most children for dead. But unlike the normal children and despite to being born to two normal parents, Lyra was a meta-human. Not wanting to be captured and locked away in some cage like a freak – which she had seen often on television, she fled the scene where her body left an imprint on the front of a truck. For the first couple years, Lyra had struggled with herself and hid the secret from her parents, especially her mother. But like all secrets, it eventually revealed herself when Lyra accidently shocked her mother – the first touch had been shrugged off as nothing more than static electricity, the second touch had sent her mother flying and left behind the scent of singed hair.

What surprised Lyra was that her mother didn’t turn her over to be experimented on by the government.

With her parents now in the mix, the time for them to move rounded the corner once again. Lyra’s father new place of station: New York City. High school was when Lyra experimented with her creativity. Not just with her music but with her sense of fashion. Even though she was the quiet girl, by first appearance, Lyra came off as the rebellious wild girl with her color streaked hair, dark make-up, or grunge looking attire. High school was also the place where Lyra finally made friends that were unique as her in both music and powers, and developed a close friendship with: Alice, Una, Noelle and Remy. Together they formed their own little troupe of fighters and pop/rock band, L.U.N.A.R., but like all pre-teens, Lyra fought to keep her life as a crime-fighter secret from her parents.
